Age requirement
18+ only
All renters must be 18 years of age or older and present a valid government-issued photo ID at Dana Landing, 2580 Ingraham St., before launch. Minors may ride only when allowed by craft rules and accompanied by an approved adult renter who accepts full responsibility.
Rental waiver
Assumption of risk
By booking or operating any Watercraft Rentals craft (boat, kayak, or jet ski), you acknowledge that lake recreation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to collision, capsizing, falling overboard, weather changes, water conditions, and equipment failure.
You agree to follow all dock brief instructions, wear required safety gear, operate only in permitted areas on Mission Bay, and return the craft in the same condition received, normal wear excepted. You are responsible for damage, loss, or recovery costs caused by misuse, negligence, or violation of lake rules.
Meetup and launch are at Dana Landing, 2580 Ingraham St., Mission Bay, San Diego, during posted hours (9 am to 6 pm) unless we notify you otherwise.
Liability terms
Release of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, you release and hold harmless Watercraft Rentals, its owners, employees, and agents from claims arising out of your rental, use, or operation of equipment, including injury, death, or property damage, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
You agree to indemnify Watercraft Rentals against third-party claims resulting from your operation of the craft. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
This page is a summary for booking clarity. A full signed waiver may be required at Dana Landing before departure.
Payment
Pay online when you book
All rentals must be paid in full online through Stripe at the time of booking. We do not accept payment at Dana Landing for the rental itself. Your card is charged when you complete checkout; a receipt is emailed by Stripe.
Camera / GoPro package ($100) and jet ski extra-passenger fees are added to the same online checkout total when selected.
Cancellation
If you cancel
Cancel by emailing lgwatercraftrentals@gmail.com. A week or more before your booked date you get 90% back. Any closer day (1–6 days before) is 80% back. Same-day cancel is 60% back. A no-show without canceling is not a refund. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 2–3 business days.

If we cancel
Any reason we cannot run your rental
If Watercraft Rentals has to cancel, we text or email you. With 24 hours or more notice we keep 20% of the purchase and refund 80%. If we cancel with less than 24 hours notice before your booked date, we keep nothing and refund 100%. Refunds go back to the original payment method within 2–3 business days.
Reasons we may have to cancel include:
- Unsafe weather — high wind, rain, lightning, or storms
- Choppy water or poor visibility on Mission Bay
- Over-packed waters that make it unsafe to launch
- Mechanical or equipment issues
- Staffing or other operational problems that mean we cannot run the rental
